Legacy of Leadership

In 1979, Maranatha Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Wallace Smith, purchased four acres of land on Oakvale Road with plans to build a new church, relocating from Highland Avenue in downtown Princeton, WV. Dear Maranatha Christian Academy Families,

My name is Melissa (Missy) Boothe, and I am truly happy and excited to be your next administrator. It is an honor to step into this role.

To help you get to know me a little better, I’d love to share a few things about my life and background. I am married to my husband, Coach Jeff Boothe, and we have been blessed with 35 wonderful years together. We raised three sons—Daniel, Eric, and Sam—all of whom are proud graduates of MCA, with two earning the distinction of salutatorian. Daniel is a lawyer, Eric is married and is an engineer, and Sam recently signed to play basketball at Pensacola Christian College this fall while pursuing a pre-med program.

I have spent 34 years in public education, including the last fourteen years in administration. I hold a Bachelor of Science in education, a Master’s degree in reading, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. My passion has always been helping students and teachers grow and become the very best they can be.

I am committed to leading with integrity, enthusiasm, and a Christ-centered focus. Together, I am confident we can continue to grow and make MCA the very best it can be.
